Angst trifecta

Got beat again playing doubles yesterday (new racket notwithstanding), George Carlin died, and Madonna’s “La Isla Bonita” is stuck in my head. If that don’t just mean it’s Monday.

Sorry about the tennis.
Don't take up golf. It's making me crazy. You'd never imagine that it is so hard to hit a stationary ball.
The song going through my head today is Wichita Lineman. I've had that one in my head on and off for a few months now. A great melody and some haunting lyrics. There's a lyric where the lineman says that he can hear his girl's voice "through the whine". But, I like to think that he hears the voice "through the wine". Know what I mean? Also, the lyric that says that the lineman is "still on the line" with the double-meaning of working the telephone line, and still hooked on his old girl.

Who are you people playing? Federer-Williams? Trust me, all bad streaks come to an end. You don't have to look further than this tennis player called Vince Spadea. He recovered from a 21 match losing streak to become World number 18 in 2005. :)

As for Madonna, I can't help you there. My deepest sympathies.

TJ: Word on the golf. What a mindfuck that sport is.

Frantix: I don't know, it's hard to be inspired by a dude named Vince Spadea. Why the heck do you even know his name, is he your cousin or something?? :D
